How much do your polyaspartic (Epoxy) coatings cost?
Polyaspartic epoxy coatings are a common choice because of its clean appearance. This coating is also one of the easiest options for garages. Cost is based on square footage and the type of area you want covered.

What is the life expectancy of (Epoxy) polyaspartic coatings?
This is a long-lasting agent to help protect your floors. Typically, these coatings will last just through the flooring’s own natural life.

Do I have to reseal my coating?
When you get a garage floor coating, you can expect it to last for a long time. If your floors are properly cared for, the coating will last for the entirety of your floors life. If not taken care of, reapplication may be needed.

Are you able to fix areas of pooling or dripping before installation?
There are multiple components to consider when answering this question. If the slab has sunk a significant amount, the you may want to have it raised before adding a coating. We do not specialize in lifting concrete, so you will need to find another company to assess this before we apply.

Can you coat my driveway with the polyaspartic (Epoxy) coating?
While coating your garage looks nice, it is not recommended that you coat your driveway, especially if it is slopped.

Do I need to be home during the installation of my garage floor?
Nope! We understand that things come up and you do not need to be home during the installation, as long as our team has access to the garage.

How often do I need to clean my new epoxy coated floor?
Consistent cleaning helps keep abrasions and dirt from damaging your floors. As debris builds up in your garage, driving over it can act like sandpaper on the coating. While there is not a specific amount of time or days you should clean your floor, proper maintenance will make it last longer.

What is the best way to clean my polyaspartic coated floor?
Our floor coatings are easy to clean and maintain. You can use a squeegee with soap and water to clean the surface.

Is the epoxy garage coating process dusty?
With us, the amount of dust you see during your project will be minimal. The last thing you want to do is spend hours cleaning the floor after it has been installed. Garage Floor Masters strives to keep a tidy workspace and clean as we go. We want your home to remain as dustless as possible.

Is it normal to have bubbles in Epoxy floors the day after installation?
Yes, some air bubbles may appear the days following installation. You may here them popping as you walk on the floor coating the next day. The reason this can happen is fluctuation in temperature.

Can my epoxy garage be applied when it’s cold out?
There are summer and winter blends of this product. The main difference, one dries quicker in warmer weather, while the other dries quicker in cold weather.

Will Polyaspartic coatings discolor over time due to constant sun exposure?
Polyaspartic coatings are UV protected and will hold up against sun exposure. If the coating is exposed to the sun, you will not have to worry about discoloration.

Can wood steps be coated with a Polyaspartic as well?
Absolutely! Even if the steps are made of wood, the coating adheres well to them, but there is no warranty. Coating your steps will definitely last longer than if you chose to paint them.

Do the concrete expansion joints get filled during the installation?
This can go either way. We don’t recommend filling these joints with floor coating because they serve a purpose. The expansion joints are there for a reason: to force cracks to occur inside them versus in the middle of the floor. If the expansion joints are filled with something solid, it will put pressure outside them and cause the floor to crack in other places.

Do you train and certify your installers?
Yes, all of our installers are trained and certified. They work directly with the owner to insure that they are doing everything to your specifications.

Do certain colors cost more?
We offer a range of color selections so you can pick the option that suits you and your home best. All the Polyaspartic coating colors we stock are set at the same price point. So colors that are not offered on our site, might come with an additional cost.

Can expansion joints be filled after install?
Yes, we recommend geting Sika Self Leveling Polyurethan from a home improvement store like Lowes or Home Depot. It comes in a tan or gray color and is applied with a caulk gun.

Is an acid wash or floor grinding best for a floor coating?
Grinding down a floor with diamons is the best prep work for a floor being ready to be coated. Grinding the floor creates the best adhesion surface for the coating. This strips any cure, sealant, or stains that can cause the coating to delaminate.

What happens if I drop something and it chips the durable floor?
If you drop something, it is unlikely that it will chip the floor. Unless it has a sharp edge or is overly dense. If something does happen to the floor, we can repair minor damages without redoing the entire surface.

Do you offer a warranty?
Yes! We offer a lifetime warranty that is backed by us. Other companies offer a warranty by the manufacturer, which can make it more difficult to make a claim.

Are my floors scratch resistant?
Polyaspartic floors are exceptionally scratch resistant. While they can still scratch, they are very resilient. Epoxy scratches much easier than polyaspartic.

Can you coat over the felt bad between the floor and wall?
The felt pad between the floor and the wall cannot be coated. This takes additional steps and often the coating will not adhere to the soft material. The felt pad can be caulked over and then coated over.

If my concrete cracks will my coating crack?
When your concrete cracks from shifting over time, usually the expansion joints will catch a majority of the cracking. We recommend coatin in and out of the expansion joints.

Will my new floor be slip resistant?
This polyaspartic coating is textured due to the vinyl paint flakes, making it fairly slip-resistant in your home.

Is it really done in one day?
Garage Floor Masters completes projects in just one day. Our top of the line products and highly trained technicians will make most conventional projects happen in one day. Some bigger projects or unforeseen circumstances may cause the project to be finished in more than one day.
